How do I decide the right curtain rod height?

A good rule of thumb is to install the rod 15–20 cm above the window frame to create a sense of height. For a full-length look, let curtains drop just above the floor (1–2 cm gap), or even puddle slightly for a more dramatic effect.

How to measure my windows for custom curtains?

  • Decide if you want an inside or outside mount.
  • Measure the width: pole/track length for pleated styles, or rod length for rod-pocket/tab-top styles.
  • Measure the height from the top of the pole/track to your desired length.
  • Check both sides for accuracy.

What is the difference between blackout, dim-out, and sheer fabrics?

  • Blackout: Blocks 90–100% of light for maximum privacy and darkness.
  • Dim-out: Softly filters light, reducing glare while keeping some brightness.

Should I measure the window or the wall area?

Always measure the area you want your curtains to cover, not just the window frame. Add at least 20–30 cm on each side for optimal coverage and light blocking.

What's the best fullness ratio?

We recommend 1.5x to 2x fabric width compared to the track/rod width. For example, a 200 cm rod would need about 300–400 cm of curtain fabric for an elegant drape.
