Cold drafts at the window can affect the feeling of living, especially in the winter months. The Oxviora thermal window curtain made to measure offers a practical way to additionally insulate window areas and prevent unpleasant cold reduce.

Its high-quality, three-layer construction combines durable Oxford fabric with a soft PP cotton filling. This creates a padded protective layer that can reduce heat loss through the window area and support a more pleasant indoor climate.

Thanks to the self-adhesive Velcro fastening, the curtain can be mounted directly on the suitable window frame without drilling. Two types of fastening are available to suit your individual requirements: Velcro tape at the top and Velcro all around.

1. Durable Oxford fabric - robust protection against cold drafts

The outside of the Oxviora thermal curtain is made of tightly woven Oxford fabric. This material is characterized by its durable surface and good abrasion resistance.

The robust fabric structure provides additional protection from cold drafts and dust. Especially on older windows or in areas with noticeable air movement, the curtain can help reduce the direct influence of cold air on the living space.

The easy-care material is suitable for regular use during the autumn and winter seasons.

Important note: The Oxford fabric is windproof, but not waterproof. The curtain is intended for indoor use.

2. Three-layer thermal insulation – less heat loss in winter

The Oxviora thermal window curtain has a three-layer material construction that is designed for thermal protection and suitability for everyday use.

Outer layer - robust Oxford fabric

The tightly woven outer layer forms a resistant barrier against drafts and mechanical stress.

Middle layer - heat-insulating PP wadding

The soft, voluminous PP cotton filling forms the insulating core of the curtain. It supports thermal insulation through the padded material structure.

Inner Layer - Protective Back

The additional back completes the three-layer construction and ensures a closed, stable material structure.

This combination creates an insulating fabric barrier in front of the window. It can reduce heat loss at low outside temperatures and contribute to a more comfortable room temperature.

In addition, the padded construction can slightly attenuate certain everyday noises.

3. Two practical mounting types – to suit your needs

The Oxviora thermal curtain is available with two different Velcro fasteners.

Variant 1: Velcro strap at the top

With this type of fastening, the curtain is only attached to the window frame on the upper edge with Velcro.

The two sides and the bottom edge remain free.

Advantages:

• Particularly uncomplicated assembly

• Easy removal and reattachment

• Flexible use in everyday life

• Useful for windows that are opened regularly

• Additional thermal protection without complete edge fastening

This variant is suitable for customers who prefer easy handling.

Variant 2: Velcro all around

In this variant, the thermal curtain is attached with Velcro on all four sides: top, bottom, left and right.

This allows the curtain to fit closer to the window frame, reducing open gaps along the edges.

Advantages:

• Fastening on all four sides

• Improved protection against drafts entering from the side

• Tighter adjustment to the window frame

• Especially practical for drafty windows

• Suitable for the most comprehensive cold protection possible

BTTO Recommendation: If you want to use the curtain primarily to reduce cold drafts, we recommend the wraparound one Velcro fastening.

4. Tool-free assembly – self-adhesive Velcro tape

You do not need a curtain rod, drill or screws to install the Oxviora thermal curtain.

The self-adhesive Velcro tape is attached directly to a suitable surface of the window frame. The curtain can then be attached to the Velcro strap.

Assembly instructions:

1. Clean the window frame carefully and remove dust, dirt and grease.

2. Ensure the surface is completely dry.

3. Measure the intended fastening areas.

4. Attach the self-adhesive Velcro tape to the frame according to the selected fastening method.

5. Press the Velcro strip evenly and firmly.

6. Attach the thermal curtain to the Velcro system.

Mounting tip: At low room temperatures, the adhesive tape can be gently heated with a hairdryer to ensure adhesion support.

Please note that the adhesive strength depends on the material, surface condition and ambient temperature. Depending on the surface, adhesive residue may be left behind when removing the self-adhesive tape.

5. Easy ventilation – flexible in everyday life

Regular ventilation is important even during the cold season.

Thanks to the Velcro fastening, the Oxviora thermal curtain can be partially or completely detached from the window frame if necessary.

With the “Velcro top” variant, you can lift the freely hanging fabric particularly easily.

With the “Velcro tape all around” variant, you can loosen the required Velcro connections to gain access to the window.

For longer ventilation, the curtain can be rolled up manually and secured using the additional Velcro strips.

After airing, the curtain can be attached to the Velcro again.

Note for determining dimensions: Please measure the intended coverage area carefully. With the all-round Velcro fastening, precise adjustment is particularly important so that the curtain fits as closely as possible to the frame.

Care instructions

So that your Oxviora thermal curtain retains its shape and material properties for as long as possible, we recommend the following care:

• Machine wash in cold water on a gentle program

• Use a mild detergent if possible

• Do not use aggressive bleaching agents

• Allow to air dry

• Avoid high drying temperatures

• Remove removable hardware before cleaning

Important information before ordering

1. Individual dimensions

Please check your selected width and height carefully. Due to manual customization, slight dimensional deviations may occur.

2. Color deviations

Actual colors may vary slightly from the product images due to different screen settings and lighting conditions.

3. Mounting surface

The self-adhesive Velcro strips should only be applied to suitable, clean, smooth and dry surfaces.

4. Different thermal protection effects

The actual insulating effect depends on the window construction, the fit, the chosen fastening type and the environmental conditions.

5. Not waterproof

The Oxford fabric is windproof but not waterproof. Indoor use is recommended.

6. No complete sound insulation

The padded fabric construction can dampen noise somewhat, but is not a substitute for special soundproof glazing or professional sound insulation.
