Vom Babyzimmer zum Rosé-Traum: Ein zeitloses Kinderzimmer zum Großwerden

From baby room to rosé dream: A timeless children's room for growing up

A child's room accompanies many important moments in growing up. It's all the more special, then, when a former nursery is transformed into a lovingly designed space where a child can play, dream, and create their own memories. The goal of this transformation was a harmonious shade of pink that remains playful yet stylish and timeless.

The starting point: A room full of possibilities

The original room still contained some pieces of furniture that absolutely had to be preserved – such as a white chest of drawers and a comfortable armchair that had witnessed many hours of cuddling, reading aloud, and soothing. It was important to continue incorporating these elements while simultaneously bringing about a major transformation: away from a nursery and towards a room that could grow with the child.

The desired outcome was clear: a friendly, rose-colored room with a touch of playfulness, but without appearing cluttered. A place that would bring lasting joy and convey a feeling of security.

Color scheme & design: Rosé as a calm base

The first step was to define a color and material base. Rosé was to remain dominant, but in a fresher, more elegant version. A high-quality, timeless forest wallpaper in soft pink hues immediately brought depth and character to the room. It appears both childlike and stylish – ideal for a room that should remain harmonious for years to come.

A white bouclé bed replaced the crib. The fabric's soft, modern texture creates a warm, cozy atmosphere while also being durable enough to last for many years. The furniture was complemented by two light-colored bedside tables with delicate, wavy details and small table lamps for evening reading.

Floating bookshelves, filled with colorful children's books, were mounted above the armchair. Together with the remaining rabbit illustration, a charming corner for peace and imagination was created – a small retreat within a retreat.

Window decoration: Function meets elegance

The choice of window treatment is particularly influential on the overall effect of the room. High-quality blackout curtains were essential for a peaceful night's sleep. Therefore, rose-colored pleated curtains with an opaque lining were chosen. They lend the room a soft, elegant texture while simultaneously creating ideal sleeping conditions.

During the day, light, finely woven Roman blinds provide privacy and pleasant light without darkening the room. The combination of both elements creates a high-quality look and visual depth – a layered effect that harmoniously completes the room.

Design tip: Curtains should always be generously sized. Mounting them high up and extending beyond the width of the window makes the room appear larger and creates a luxurious drape.

A room full of futures and memories

From the choice of wallpaper to the window solution, every detail was carefully considered to create a space that invites play, dreams, and growth. Rosé serves as a unifying theme, but the clean, modern foundation ensures that the room can be easily adapted to new needs in the future.

Thus, a place has been created that radiates lightness, conveys warmth and is at the same time full of imagination – a space that preserves a piece of childhood and becomes more and more valuable over time.
